The Chicken’s Conversation builds a maze of semiotics, quantum physics and metaphysics in order to investigate the relationship between animal and human nature.
I have developed a symbolic code that allowed the communication between human being and animal by mixing real facts with unconscious and symbolic events. The Chicken’s Conversation offers an initiatory journey between instinct and reason that finds fullment in the engravings: the zoomorphic metamorphosis inspired by deep-rooted philosophical and literary and artistic heritage.
Conversazioni con un pollo è stato scritto e realizzato in un processo performativo quotidiano per la durata di 3 mesi in cui ho costruito una conversazione stabile con i polli introdotti nel giardino del castello di Fosdinovo, l’esito di questo scambio è stato riconfigurato nelle incisioni che simboleggiano la metamorfosi del corpo, estasi della mutazione dove la materia fisica si plasma sull’essenza: L’animale diventa l’uomo e l’uomo si animalizza, il corpo non è che un medium fluido che supera non solo il genere ma anche lo specismo.
